The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
The Salvation Army in Gainesville has been faithfully serving our community since 1928 through numerous services such as hunger relief, family & social services, Pathway of Hope, Project Share (utilities & rent assistance), Angel Tree (Christmas toys for children in need), disaster relief, providing shelter (single men, single women, and families), empowering youth, and sharing God’s love. Our programs are diverse and are all centered on meeting the needs of the community.
