Who We Are

My Sister’s Place is a Christ-centered shelter that restores hope for single women and mothers with children who are experiencing homelessness. Our program helps to rebuild stability by providing a loving and welcoming environment, spiritual growth opportunities, community connections, and life-skills training to support the journey to housing independence.

What We Do

Founded in 2000 by Marty Owens, whose dream was to open My Sister’s Place as a sanctuary to provide a nurturing home, transportation assistance, nutritious meals and other basic necessities to single women and mothers with children in NE GA. While these families are at My Sister's Place we provide tools and resources to see their hope restored, barriers to permanent housing addressed, and a plan for a better future put in place.
